Mechanism of action for Sonotron Therapy - Collagen Protein Hypothesis

"We have postulated that since the collagen protein levels in synovial fluid tested in the horse study was reduced; and, since the Case Western University showed a correlation between elevated collagen protein levels and the incidence of osteoarthritis in humans; therefore, we have concluded that the Sonotron reduces pain associated with the osteoarthritic response in joints due to its ability to reduce collagen protein levels.

"... in relation to collagen protein, this does not automatically mean that there is a direct connection betwen pain and elevated protein levels ...."

this is what Mr. Andre' Di Mino, the Co-Inventor of the Sonotron said in a talk given in Japan on March 4, 1994.
